CCNF Paid Rich Tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his 45th Martyrdom Anniversary

August 15, 2020, Cox’s Bazar: On the occasion of National Mourning Day, Cox’s Bazar Civil Society NGO Forum (CCNF) offered flower bouquet to the portrait of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the premises of Arunadhay school, Cox’s Bazar. Like every year, CCNF members participated the event and paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his 45th martyrdom anniversary. Mr. Abu Murshed Chowdhury, Co-Chair CCNF and ED PHALS, Mr. Zahangir Alam, Member Secretary CCNF and AD COAST and other members also present there.

Government, non-government institutions and people from all walks of life also participated the event with grief and sad mind and prayed for all the martyr assassinated with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with 16 members of his family was brutally assassinated on this day in 1975 by a group of people from the armed forces at his Dhanmondi residence in Dhaka. Among the close family members, only his daughter and current Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and her sister survived as they were not in the country when the incident took place.

Participants returned home with a commitment of creating such Bangladesh dreamt Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
